BDO Global Lab, 14 August 2026: Agent rework and Dusk's End buffs in English
A week after Inner Edania landed on Global Lab, Pearl Abyss has followed it with a consolidation patch dated 14 August: a PvP rework that leans into Agent's assassin identity, a PvE retune across four classes that deliberately leaves PvP untouched, guild wars that cost nothing when both sides agree to them, a simpler Cup extraction recipe with two materials being deleted outright, and Dusk's End accessory drop rates raised in every one of the six Inner Edania zones - by anywhere from 20 to 100 per cent. If you have not read it yet, last week's Inner Edania recap covers the zones and accessories this patch is tuning.
The notice is mostly Korean, though Pearl Abyss has this time embedded official English for a handful of the headline sections. Everything below, including the tables that exist only in Korean, is a full English recap.
At a glance
| What | The short version |
|---|---|
| Agent PvP rework | More damage on assassination skills, super armour on Reaper's Mercy, new evasion buff, cheaper stamina, a longer Blink |
| PvE retune, four classes | Giant, awakening Guardian and awakening Drakania down; succession Guardian and awakening Nova up - PvP deliberately left flat |
| Dusk's End drop rates | Up 20 to 100 per cent across all six Inner Edania zones |
| 25 guaranteed accessories | Five new quest lines, once per family, 50,000 kills to clear the lot |
| War Proposal | Mutually agreed guild wars cost no fame, run 6 hours, and have no cooldown |
| Cup extraction | Now needs a Mirror of Balance - two old materials are deleted on 19/20 August with refunds |
| Growth pass removed | Collect outstanding rewards before the 19 August (KR) / 20 August (Global) maintenance |
The PvE retune: four classes, PvP left alone
Pearl Abyss describes this as a continuation of the last PvE balance pass: narrowing the damage gap between classes, weighing survivability, stability and how tiring each class is to hunt on. More classes are flagged for adjustment later.
The mechanism is worth understanding before reading the tables. Nearly every changed skill pairs a PvE damage change with an opposite change to its PvP damage ratio, and the two cancel almost exactly - we multiplied every pair in the notice and the PvP output lands within a rounding error of where it started. So the tables below list what actually changed: damage against monsters. The one genuine exception is flagged under Drakania.
Giant - down
Seven Prime skills on the main weapon and succession lose PvE damage.
| Skills (all Prime) | PvE damage |
|---|---|
| Winged Beast Wind Slash; Fierce Attack; Ancient Wave | -10% |
| Predator's Hunt; Frenzied Destroyer; Devastation | -7% |
| Pounding Thunderbolt | -3% |
Guardian - succession up, awakening down
Main weapon and succession gain across the board.
| Skills | PvE damage |
|---|---|
| Prime: Claw Reveal; Prime: Boulder Cleave; Prime: Dismemberment; Prime: Black Blood Slaughter | +10% |
| Prime: Black Blood Domain | +8% |
| Prime: Earth Strike | +7% |
| Prime: Snowy Mountain Cleave; Gate Breaker | +5% |
Awakening gives a little back.
| Skills | PvE damage |
|---|---|
| Dragon's Maw | -6% |
| Cleansing Flame; Gnashing Teeth; Light Contempt | -5% |
One mechanical change hides among the numbers: on Flow: Screaming Light, the flame of Yoldun now hits for 703% per tick instead of 633%, but the burn it used to apply - 90 burn damage six times over 18 seconds - is gone entirely.
Nova - awakening up
Thirteen awakening skills gain PvE damage: +5% on Royal Swordsmanship: Raid, Chain and Haste, Freezing Ring, and the Accelerated versions of Freezing Ring, Haste and Chain; +3% on Pouncing Ring, Cruel Ring, Pouring Starshards, Royal Swordsmanship: Counter, Cleaving Ring, and Accelerated: Pouncing Ring.
Drakania - awakening down, with one real PvP nerf
Awakening loses PvE damage in both stances: in human form, -5% on Reverse Scale Stab, Earth-Splitting Roar and Cleaving Flame and -3% on six others (Sharp Proclamation, Flow: Hidden Claw, Soul-Etched Grudge, End of Life, Flow: Eradication, Storm-Piercing Spear); in dragon form, -10% on Sharp Proclamation, Flow: Cloud Cutter and Charge of Demolition and -5% on five others.
The exception to the PvP-stays-flat rule in this patch is dragon-form Reverse Scale Stab. Its damage falls 8985% to 8013% and its PvP ratio falls with it, 36.19% to 31.74% - the only skill in the notice where both move the same way. Multiply it out and that is roughly 11% less damage in PvE and 22% less in PvP.
All classes also get one shared fix: ranged projectiles now fire at the crosshair when you attack mid-way through auto-pathing to a location.
Agent: sharper knives, thicker skin
Pearl Abyss's stated intent is to reinforce the assassin identity - more PvP damage on the kill-confirm skills, better tools to open a kill from range with crowd control, and patches over the survivability gaps the class has shown in PvP. All of this is on the main weapon and succession kit.
The quality-of-life and survivability list:
- Evasion Detonation now grants +36 to all evasion for 10 seconds on use.
- Stamina costs fall: Flow: Approach Fire from 125 to 100, and both Escape Manoeuvre and Flow: Redeployment Manoeuvre from 200 to 150.
- Flow: Hidden Truth can now be chained with left-click after Mozambique Drill and Death Bombardment - and picks up a 15-second cooldown in exchange.
- Death Throes had its hitbox matched to its animation: it was landing shorter than it looked, and now reaches distant enemies when nothing is in close range. It also chains smoothly after Atonement and Sin, and no longer fires its close-range version at empty air.
- Blink is now invincible from the moment the follow-up movement is prepared with left-click, can be cancelled with right-click before moving, and travels about 21% further forward and 33% further downward. The upward height cap is unchanged.
- Bloodstorm, Sin, Atonement and Prime: Pitch-Black Powder all chain more smoothly into or out of neighbouring skills.
- The +70% down-attack damage from Prime: Magic Bullet Marksman now applies only to that skill, where it previously bled into Flow: Hidden Truth and Prime: Reaper's Mercy.
- Prime: Aerial Suppression Fire recovers +100 HP per successful hit.
- Letusa's accuracy debuff is softened, -60 to -24 for 5 seconds, and Letusa chains smoothly after Mayhem, Evasion Detonation, Blink and Demolition Op.
- Learning Special Ammo: Armour-Piercing now also affects Truth in the Mask.

The straight PvP damage increases:
| Skill | PvP damage ratio |
|---|---|
| Prime: Bloodstorm | 29% to 35% |
| Prime: Truth in the Mask | 32.5% to 35.4% |
| Flow: Hidden Truth (from Prime: Truth in the Mask) | 32.5% to 38.2% |
| Prime: Reaper's Mercy | 55.3% to 60.6% |
And the guard and crowd-control changes:
| Skill | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Prime: Aerial Suppression Fire | Super armour; knockback on hit | Super armour; knockback now applies to monsters only |
| Prime: Mozambique Drill | Knockback on hit 1, knockdown on hit 2 | The same, plus forward guard during use |
| Truth in the Mask | Forward guard during use | No guard - but it is now a down attack |
| Prime: Reaper's Mercy | Forward guard during use | Super armour during use |
Ten skills also had their attack judgment adjusted so hits register across a degree of height difference: Mobile Fire, Flow: Approach Fire and Mozambique Drill (each with Armour-Piercing ammo learned), Blocking Fire and Death Bombardment (each without High-Explosive ammo), plus Death Throes, Mayhem, Scattering Death, Demolition Op and Atonement.
War Proposals: fight for free, if you both mean it
Declaring a guild war spends guild fame whether or not the other side wants the fight - which meant that even when two guilds both wanted a war, whoever declared first paid for it. The new War Proposal button sits next to War Declaration and fixes exactly that case.

- Proposing a war costs no fame, and neither guild loses fame when it is accepted.
- The war starts only if the other guild accepts, and runs for 6 hours.
- There is no waiting period after it ends - a new proposal can be sent immediately.
- A one-sided declaration still works the old way, fame cost and all.
A matching setting lets a guild opt out entirely: Menu (ESC) - Game Settings - Etc - Refuse Guild War Proposals.

The growth pass makes way for Hyperboost guidance
A new UI at the top of the screen (the button the growth pass used to occupy) lays out Hyperboost's progression order and guidance. The old growth pass is removed with it, though its game-tips section survives inside the new window.

Fairies: look one way, cast another
Fairy appearances and their inherent skills were bound together, so keeping a preferred skill meant keeping its appearance. They are now selected independently: pick any appearance you own from the list, then pick any skill from a fairy you own underneath it. Appearances you do not own can be bought from the same window, except limited ones whose sale period has ended, which are not listed at all.

Inner Edania housekeeping
- New Tachyon's Legacy discoveries have been placed across Inner Edania, starting from points marked with a blue effect. Passing the trial for Edana's legacy awards an item we would render as Agris's Golden Bloom. The difficulty of some Tachyon's Trace content has been reduced.
- The item transfer rotation moves to Woosa and Maegu: transfers to those classes cost 1 silver from 19 August (KR) / 20 August (Global) until 9 September (KR) / 10 September (Global).
- Residences have been added at Angabu No. 1 and Shining Land Nos. 1, 2 and 3.
Cup extraction drops its Elvia tax
Extracting the Cup from a reformed accessory used to consume a Refined Essence of Emotions - a sink designed, by Pearl Abyss's own account, to give Elvia loot somewhere to go. With Inner Edania live they have concluded the sink is just friction, so extraction now consumes a Mirror of Balance instead. The full list of reformed accessories this applies to is enumerated in the notice.
The old supply chain is being dismantled with it: blacksmith NPCs no longer sell the Fused Crystal of Emotions, it can no longer be crafted, and the repeatable Cup-removal quest from the NPC in the Gliish village basement in Elvia can no longer be accepted.
Dusk's End rains a little harder
Every one of the six Inner Edania zones has Dusk's End accessory drop rates raised, alongside a round of per-zone fixes. The increases stack up very differently by zone:

Aphrodon Temple. Some Blessed Scarecrows of the Golden Fields now appear during the auto-despawn mechanic too, their ground-slam no longer damages your summons, a leftover tree effect on zone reset is fixed, and monsters charge through your character far less often. Scarecrow drops: Dusk's End - Earring up 20%, Won Wandering Origin Crystal down 5%.

Emesia Fortress. Markathan's Daughter announces herself when she leaves combat, heals when she resets, and no longer wanders instead of fighting; her subordinates' aerial attack reset is fixed. The trade-off: Markathan's Subordinates hit about 1.23 times harder, and the monsters that spawn after the black crystal surges now appear closer. Drops: Dusk's End - Earring and Ring up 30% from Markathan's Subordinates, up 24% from the Subdued Enforcer Slaves.

Magaia Temple. The zone resets faster once combat ends, and the Holy Furnace detects departed adventurers over a smaller range. The headline: the named monsters - the Witnesses of the Apocalypse (Knights of Famine, Conquest and War, and the Priest of the End) and Ellian's Tears, Breath and Blessing - drop Dusk's End - Earring, Ring and Belt at double the old rate. Ellian Follower's Helmet counts were trimmed in exchange:
| Source | Helmets before | Helmets after |
|---|---|---|
| Priest of the End | 40 to 50 | 30 to 40 |
| Ellian's Tears | 10 to 15 | 10 to 12 |
| Ellian's Breath | 15 to 20 | 15 to 17 |
| Ellian's Blessing | 20 to 25 | 20 to 22 |

Aresion Temple. An awkward monster animation is fixed, and the Reforged monsters (Bent Blade, Heated Spear, Straight Arrow, Message of Fire) drop all four Dusk's End pieces - Earring, Ring, Belt and Necklace - 50% more often. Scorched Belt Ornament counts drop from 15-16 to 10-15.

Event Horizon. The aerial wormhole's judgment range shrinks while the special mechanic is inactive, the special mechanic's reward now belongs to the player who triggered it, and Despaired Edana correctly spawn in the first two and a half minutes after a zone reset. Drops: all four Dusk's End pieces up 20% from the Guide of Despair (Child of the Beginning) and up 50% from Ibedor the Shadow.
Scales of Judgment. All four Dusk's End pieces up 55% from the Priest of the End and Ellian's Grudge (Chaos).
The weekly Throne fights also collected polish: leftover effects and duplicated dialogue against Agris in Aphrodon, missing voice lines and a hitbox matched to its effect against the Goddesses of Vengeance and Justice in Magaia, and a grey-out, an invisible monster section and an awkward run animation against Aal in Aresion.
25 accessories for 50,000 kills
Five quest lines have been added inside Inner Edania, each running I to V, each step claimable and clearable once per family, each step paying one Dusk's End accessory. Clear everything and that is 25 accessories.
| Quest line | AP to accept | Kills per step | Reward per step |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aphrodon's Traces I to V | 398 | 2,500 | Dusk's End - Earring |
| Emesia's Traces I to V | 403 | 2,000 | Dusk's End - Ring |
| Magaia's Traces I to V | 408 | 2,500 | Dusk's End - Belt |
| Aresion's Traces I to V | 413 | 2,000 | Dusk's End - Necklace |
| Boidekea's Traces I to V | 418 | 1,000 | Any one of the four, your choice |
The full clear is 50,000 kills: 12,500 each in Aphrodon and Magaia, 10,000 each in Emesia and Aresion, 5,000 in Boidekea's domain.
New players get the full story first
New adventurers can no longer pick the simplified questline as their first main quest. The simplified opener now requires a completion record of the pet quest for Bariz's Junaid, which itself requires the Mediah prophecy quest in progress or complete, the co-op Awakened Black Spirit quest complete, and the Unfinished Revenge quest complete. The Balenos quest about the alchemist and her daughter also now only appears in the quest list when you are not on the simplified route. Pearl Abyss's reasoning: skipping the full route left new players without information the game assumes they have, and it cost them more later than it saved them up front.
Guild Strategy Mapping
A strategy layer for the world map, aimed at node war and conquest callers: draw up to 10 named paths of up to 10 waypoints each, set each path's colour and shape, and every guild member sees them on the world map and minimap. Creating and editing needs the new Guild Strategy Mapping permission; members without it see the paths read-only. The Del key removes waypoints newest-first, hovering a specific waypoint and pressing Del removes just that one, and members with permission can skip the button entirely by Ctrl-clicking the mouse wheel on the map.

Stability: the fifteen-second rule
Pearl Abyss says it traced a chunk of the reported instability to data processing piling up when many players move at once, and this patch works on exactly that. The boss-already-dead-at-spawn problem in some regions is expected to improve as a result.
The visible cost: login notifications now sit in a buffer of up to about 15 seconds - the same idea as the roughly 10-second wait when moving servers - so guild member login alerts, friend logins, War of the Roses connection status and conquest war member info all arrive a beat later than they used to.
Also in the stability pile: further frame-drop mitigation (including the slow degradation over long sessions), Yar matchmaking stabilisation, and a fix for guild house auction start times drifting after maintenance.
Everything else worth knowing
- Ekleta and Apeiron accessories can now be mass-enhanced - the fix notes mass enhancement needs identical enhancement materials.
- Obtaining a Dusk's End item now fires a world announcement.
- Auto-pathfinding, previously main-quest only, now works for sub and event quests.
- Caphras breakthrough details now show when inspecting another character's equipment.
- Ember of Ynix gets a cheer animation when opened from a chest in a safe zone, and shows in the rare-loot UI when it drops in the field.
- The Godslayer armaments outfit now warns in its description that wearing certain outfits over it changes its appearance, and the Fragment of Ynix quest NPC gained knowledge and a new look.
- Eleven disguise books no longer overlap their transformation positions.
- The item-count keypad respects the family bag's weight cap, the guild usage history scrolls wider, and Marni's combat analyser summary texture is resized.
- Contribution can no longer be invested in a production node whose parent node is uninvested.
- Enhanced refinestones no longer misreport their total effect in the management UI.
- Plus a page of smaller fixes around Angabu Outpost quests and knowledge, the Auris Coast ferry and speedboat, minimap boundaries, and assorted UI edges - none of them number-bearing.
What this changes for tracking
Three things stand out if you log your hours.
The drop-rate increases move real money. A doubling in Magaia and 50 to 55 per cent in Aresion, Ibedor and the Scales bosses means any Dusk's End income figure measured before this patch is now wrong in your favour, and by different amounts per zone - the ladder between the six zones has been reshuffled, not lifted evenly. Our grind spot data keeps trash and drop income separate, which is exactly the split this patch moves.
The Traces quests put a hard number on a grind: 50,000 kills for 25 accessories, gated between 398 and 418 AP. If you know your kills per hour in these zones from your own logs, that converts directly into a schedule - and into a comparison against just buying Apeiron pieces off the market.
And the PvE retune shifts clear speeds a few per cent on four classes - down on Giant, awakening Guardian and awakening Drakania, up on succession Guardian and awakening Nova. If your silver-per-hour baselines were measured on one of them, re-benchmark before trusting the old number. PvP players can relax: apart from one Drakania dragon-form skill and Agent's deliberate buffs, the ratios were adjusted to cancel every damage change exactly.
None of this is on official servers yet, and two of the features in this very notice skip Global Lab entirely. Global Lab exists so these numbers can change, and historically they do.
